10 Better Foundation
what would happen if each of us tried to be just 10% better?
More kindness. More generosity. More patience. More time. More help.
Not perfect. Just 10 Better.
Maybe for you it's donating 10% more time, more money, or a gift for a toy drive. Maybe it's seeing something that needs change and being the change agent. Nothing is too small as long as we move consistently to being 10% better in some way.
If 10% is out of reach right now, try this: 10% better of 10% better is just 1%. Everyone has 1%.
Imagine the cumulative effect.
What if millions of people each did just a little more?
Not twice as much.
Not everything.
Just 10% more.
Ten percent more generosity.
Ten percent more kindness.
Ten percent more patience.
Ten percent more time helping someone else.
No one person changes the world alone.
Millions of people making millions of slightly better choices might.
That's 10 Better.
Almost anyone can participate. That is the whole point.
Give a little more to something you already believe in.
Volunteer another hour. Carry someone's groceries. Help a neighbor.
Be more patient. Let somebody merge. Hold the door.
Mentor someone. Teach something. Give someone an opportunity.
Tell someone what you did and encourage them to do something too.
Make someone else a hero by sharing what you saw them do — and keep doing.
This is where the stories go, and right now there are none — 10 Better is just starting. Somebody has to be first.
Be the firstWe don't have to do much. I'm thinking just 10% more. Give 10% more. Help 10% more. Be 10% kinder.
Can you do less honking, less flipping the bird? Can you help at the food bank? Call somebody who's lonely. Buy somebody a cup of coffee, or better yet buy them their groceries.
So what's your 10 Better? Think about it. Talk about it. Share it.
Go 10 Better.
